M.A. SANTE is a Cameroon based not-for-profit organization created in 2006 with the objective to contribute to the improvement of the population's access to health care through training, implementation of health interventions and conducting health research. In line with this vision, its activities focus on:

  • Planning, mobilising resources, implementing and disseminating the results of observational studies (longitudinal and cross-sectional surveys, case-control and cohort studies), clinical trials and field studies to help generate evidence for updating healthcare policies and protocols;
  • Strengthening epidemiological surveillance systems, including zoonosis surveillance, genomics, and improving the routine surveillance system;
  • Strengthening the pharmacovigilance system;
  • Contributing to the protection of research participants by improving the regulatory framework for research ethics and strengthening the stakeholders involved in research;

  • Capacity building for researchers and students in drafting projects, protocols, articles and abstracts;
  • Supporting the health sector in updating policies and guidelines for healthcare programmes and in implementing interventions to improve the supply or demand for healthcare;
  • Monitoring and evaluation of health programmes and care protocols in accordance with the needs of the health sector in all regions of Cameroon;
  • Providing internships to prepare new graduates in the health sector for research and employment, in collaboration with Cameroon's universities and university institutes;
  • Developing collaboration with institutions and stakeholders to improve access to healthcare;
  • Mobilising and connecting experts from all disciplines and of all ages to harness their expertise for capacity building and innovation to improve peoples access to healthcare.
